In traditional Chinese medicine, it is associated with the <strong>Heart<\/strong>, the central organ that governs the Blood and houses the <strong>Shen<\/strong> \u2014that is, consciousness, clarity, and the quality of being present to oneself and the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the Heart is balanced, the Shen is stable: the mind is clear, sleep is restful, thinking is coherent, and interactions flow smoothly. Conversely, internal agitation can disrupt this harmony and manifest as mental distraction, sleep disturbances, or emotional instability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During this time of year, acupuncture aims to regulate the heart\u2019s activity, calm the mind, and promote a sense of calm grounding. In this way, it supports the flow of Fire energy without allowing it to become excessive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\">According to medical classics: \u201cThe Heart illuminates all functions, like a steady light at the center.\u201d This image highlights the importance of constant inner clarity, rather than brief excitement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>Practical tip:<\/strong>\u00a0Be sure to take time out during the day to relax, limit overstimulation (screens, constant demands), and engage in activities that help refocus your attention (breathing exercises, meditation, mindful walking).
