Traditional Acupuncture

Taoism – a way of living, a path of life as described by Taoists themselves – is the foundation of Traditional Acupuncture. This philosophy lies at the heart of Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.

The Therapist

The role of the Traditional Acupuncturist is to guide their patients along the path of balance — the way of the middle ground.

Areas of Application

Acupuncture offers a broad and effective range of therapeutic applications. It can be used for preventive care, curative treatments, or as a complementary approach, depending on the case.

Acupuncture in Practice

What happens during a session with an acupuncturist?

The first session begins with an anamnesis to understand the person’s overall condition, energetic profile, reasons for the consultation, and known health issues.

Body observation (complexion, tongue, eyes, abdomen…), palpation (organ zones, limbs, skin, muscles…), and the reading of Chinese pulses help establish an energetic assessment based on the following 8 principles:

Yin / Yang – Interior / Exterior – Deficiency / Excess – Cold / Heat

The session concludes with an initial acupuncture treatment using needles, based on this diagnosis.
